How to choose an appliance repairer in Wellington

  1. Ask for the call-out and diagnosis fee, and whether it is credited to the repair.
  2. Get the repair quote before work starts, with parts and labour shown separately.
  3. Compare the quote with the price of a new appliance. Repairs over about half the price of a new one are often not worth it on older machines.
  4. Check whether the appliance is still under warranty, or covered by the Consumer Guarantees Act, before paying for a repair yourself.
  5. Ask what warranty covers the repair.

Get at least two written quotes for the same job, and read recent Google reviews rather than relying on the star rating alone. A listing here is not a recommendation: “Listed” businesses have not yet been checked by LocalsBest.
