How to choose a moving company in Auckland

  1. Get written quotes from at least two movers, based on a home visit or a detailed inventory.
  2. Ask how the price is worked out: hourly from which address, or per cubic metre, and what counts as travel time.
  3. Ask what insurance covers your goods in transit. A carrier's liability is limited by law unless you agree otherwise, so consider transit insurance.
  4. Ask whether stairs, long carries, pianos or pool tables cost extra.
  5. Book early for weekends and the end of the month, when movers are busiest.

Get at least two written quotes for the same job, and read recent Google reviews rather than relying on the star rating alone. A listing here is not a recommendation: “Listed” businesses have not yet been checked by LocalsBest.
