How to choose an appliance repairer in Auckland
- Ask for the call-out and diagnosis fee, and whether it is credited to the repair.
- Get the repair quote before work starts, with parts and labour shown separately.
- Compare the quote with the price of a new appliance. Repairs over about half the price of a new one are often not worth it on older machines.
- Check whether the appliance is still under warranty, or covered by the Consumer Guarantees Act, before paying for a repair yourself.
- Ask what warranty covers the repair.
